The Spiceland Banjo:

I built this banjo as a fun summer project and something new to work on. It is an open back, and is intended more for clawhammer than bluegrass style playing. The neck and body are laminated curly maple and black walnut. The walnut and maple combination gives this banjo a beautiful tone that has plenty of twang and bite, but is more full and warm than a traditional banjo made all of maple. It is perfect for old time and clawhammer style playing.
